| Charlie is an angel asleep in her carriage. We took her for a walk with Rob and Nicole and Bill and Matilda along the dam road at Coyote Park Reservoir. |

Haley and Nicole pose for the camera by the spillway. |
| And Rob is the photographer. |

The four of them in front of those gorgeous rolling hills. |
| Another shot of the walkers. |

The road goes all along the water. The trees are California Bay Laurels and Live Oaks. The oaks have spanish moss. |
| Haley and Nicole and Charlotte get ready for lunch outside on one of Bill and Matilda's decks. Matilda made avocado and tomato soups, you can see them layered in those champagne glasses. We ate apps in the Thai house down the slope from the main house, and then Ray and his fiancee Jenny and her daughter Brittany arrived for dinner. Rob and Nicole stayed to eat dinner and then jumped in their car to drive to LA. We left early the next morning for the island. I won't bother you with the details about renting a car at the airport, or about which ferry we caught, but the island is wonderful and I can't really remember that day. | |

We went foraging for morels early the next day. |
| We found about a pound. I think there are more. We made morel raviolis and served them to Kit for dinner, that was very fun. | |

Since the house isn't ready for tiling, Liam found a fabulous project: lining the steps to Pingree Rock with madrone logs. Here he's sharpening the chain on the chain saw. |
| And Haley uses a hand saw to cut rebar for staking the logs into the ground. | |
 |
Here's how the steps look. We'll add the slate stones back into a bed of sand and then finish them with pea gravel. |
| Meanwhile, Hawk is sanding the nana wall door to get ready to seal it. | |
