We got up to a pretty hot morning, I went swimming and we got dressed and read our Kindles. After a while, we decided to drive into Montepulciano to find sunblock and salami and grappa. We did great!

When we got back, we hung out for a while at the dining table, then on the beautiful white duvets on our beds. Everyone else had gone on road trips, but we just felt like relaxing. Then we looked at each other and felt just too lazy, so we took a drive around the ridges, looking at the beauty everywhere. A delicious thunderstorm started to fire up, it really looked like the midwest.

We noticed a guy on the side of the road picking berries, so we dashed back to the house and grabbed a container. Hawk picked these beautiful berries until the weather got a little scary so we went back to the house and hunkered down.

Here's a view of Montepulciano with the light shining on it just after the storm. The storm rained heavily and cleared out all the hot air, it was actually jeans weather for dinner. We ate boar salami, bread salad, beets in vinegar and grappa, and gnocchi with parmesan and truffles. YUM!!! And then we smoked cigars.
