We flew to Chicago for ICA in June, stayed a couple of nights and ate dinner at Alinea, so wonderful. Except we can't eat out again until September, just blew out our budget on that stuff. We hung out with Ray (who was also presenting papers there) and had dinner at Graham Elliot with him our last night. We flew back a day early so we could see Dennis and Jennifer and Pat and Nancy, who were out on vacation. You can see our gorgeous deer fence behind us there.

Helen came to dinner too, it was so great to have them here. I'm sitting on one of our new deck chairs from Smith and Hawken, they are really comfortable and make it seem warmer outside when it is cold. This night was so perfect.

The Nancy Mee went back up in April, doesn't the sun look amazing shining through it?

These pictures are even better than the one with the whales swimming through.

Peter and Meredith arrived in the middle of a cold snap just before Paisley and Peter's 10th Wedding Anniversary Regatta. We spent the week cooking, making salads and apps and the cake. I stacked the cake and finished it at Joyce and Tad's house, where the regatta was held.

It was the very best regatta, around 60 people (including kids) on Saturday, really great. Rob was the official photographer, the best photos are on his site
