| When we got here last week (has it really been a week???), Hawk made a reservation for Sunday lunch at Les Hyacinthes, a local restaurant on a hill about 3 miles from La Metairie Haute. For all of us. Our first course was vegetable soup with big chunks of vegetables, then foie gras, see that little round with a border of terrine? So so good. I ate almost all of it. |

Ray really appreciates it. |
| Morgan had a lot of French bread centers with butter. |
He and Cora and Charlie were really adorable. They hung out with us for awhile, then they got down and cruised around. There were only 4 tables busy in the whole restaurant, all outside. |
| Charlie loved being able to walk. |
Cora ate and ate and ate. Then they watched Mary Poppins on the portable player under the table. |
| My main course, I forgot to take a picture when it came. It's confit, and Hawk had magret with green peppercorn sauce. And we all had pommes frites fried in duck fat. Yum. |
With profiteroles for dessert. |
| Hawk really enjoyed his Sunday lunch. |

After lunch (which ended at 3 pm), we hung out by the pool. Haley and Liam and Charlie make a totem pole. |
| We also started noticing these clouds coming in late, around 8 p.m. |
It looked like a great show, so we set up on the grass to watch. |
| Doesn't Haley look adorable on the wall? |
Then it hit, big winds, blue black sky, marble sized hail and rain. |
