We got up early and Hawk made me a bath, then coffee. Everyone else got up, too and we all took off for Sarlat to get our breakfast croissants. Then we drove to Limoges, where Hawk and I bought each other our birthday presents at Bernardaud: 8 chargers, dinner plates and dessert plates in Frivole. So beautiful! |
| Then we drove over to Raynaud and bought a few more things, while Haley and Liam bought themselves 8 place settings of Naturale. Also beautiful. They got some gorgeous serving pieces that were one of a kind, hand painted by the woman who was running the cash register and who could only say, "alors." Constantly. |

We went looking hard for a McDonald's, which we all saw signs for but never found. So we ended up at a Boulangerie with delicious sandwiches and bread for dinner. Then we took the long way home (oh, my God, the long way!!!) to see a fabulous chateau built for Henry II's cannon maker. It was amazing. |
| We stopped for ice cream at a shop near the chateau and waited for the butcher shop to open. But it never did. We found something to do while we waited. Liam and Haley really liked these shutters, maybe we can make something like them for their new house. |

| When we got back, finally, we all got in bathing suits and just relaxed until dinner time. Kit, Hawk and Paisley gave me a massage. Ray got Morgan to jump into the pool after his soccer ball. |

| Dinner was magret with shallot/wine sauce, leeks and potatoes roasted in duck fat, cheeses, fruit and chocolate. |  |
