Sailing the Greek Islands: Yalta

Our favorite part of the ship is the most forward bar where they serve tea in the late afternoon too. We like it because it's always cool, it's usually pretty empty and because there are so many seats for two. And we get to see right where we are going first.
Here's our bed. I said it is soft, but Hawk doesn't think so, and he doesn't like the line down the middle where they could separate it into two twins. But the sheets are fabulously soft and I love the white on white duvet. And two sets of soft pillows.
The view from the entry hall to our outside deck. The cabin feels very spacious, we spend a lot of time in here. Note the little couch and the two outside chairs and table. Great for sipping our Meredith mix.
Hawk is writing notes about our darling Wisconsin travelers. They are really growing on us.
We went east and south on the Black Sea over night to Yalta, the wind howled and the seas were so whipped up you could see them through our window. I woke up around midnight and sat outside to watch for awhile, it was warm and sheltered on our side of the boat. The port side was probably getting wet! But no motion at all. This boat is so big! Anyway, we pulled into Yalta at around 8 a.m. to another little band, this time with a conductor.
The esplanade and city are right next to the boat, and you can see Crystal Serenity right there past the statue of Lenin and the little plastic boats in that pond. I couldn't resist the composition.
Lenin, again.
Another McDonald's shot for Paisley. Hey, right there next to the boat!
This tree and wisteria lined walk was very comfortable, although it was at least 90 out. We liked the way the curved metal arbor created this walkway.
The bulb at the bow of the boat. Cool looking.
Lenin, again.
This one was on the esplanade. It's french fries pointing the way.
A gold topped cathedral that Hawk took a cable trolley (up in the air) to see.
The view from the top of the hill of the harbor and our boat.
The broken down statue and building at the top of the hill of Hawk's cable trolley ride. I was going to go too, but the heat just got me and I stomped off to the boat myself.
One more Hawk shot of the harbor and our boat from the top of the hill.
