SuzHawk Family Pictures

Last night we finally found fresh crab at King's, so we bought two. Hawk built a bonfire on the clambake site out on Pingree Rock and we sat there together in the gathering dusk while he cleaned the crab. Then we went inside and ate it with meyer lemons and Suzy's tartar sauce. We had two movies (Crash and Summer Catch) plus a Fran's salt caramel for dessert.
Here are some interior shots of the guest house, downstairs. This is looking toward the south end of the room, and you can just see our pouang chairs with their new leather cushions. Thanks, Haliam, for the idea!
Here's another shot toward the kitchen. We have no stove, so it's a legal ADU. I have a hotplate that gets too hot or not hot enough. You can see my bonfire photo on my computer's desktop. That's to substitute for a fireplace.
This is the view looking north, I just painted the inside of the front door. We are trying to get EVERYTHING done on the guest house this week, so we can ignore it from now own. We know we'll never be back here once the main house is really underway.
The living room. We got those book shelves at Ikea last time we were here. Note how well the ukelele hides a blank wall plate next to the door.
This is our new rain chain. It's copper and really beautiful.
I made a little cup at the bottom so it would drain into the ground catch.
And here is the most current view of the house, with its adorable cupola on top.
