We packed up our apartment and moved out on July 11th, but before we did, we had one last pool party.
Ray and Hawk and Paisley watched the action out of the rain.
Charlie has a unique thumb-sucking technique that involves her other arm.
And look at that happy grin from her bath in the sink! I just wish it was completely in focus!
Morgan actually fit inside my Fox and Obel market bag. He's so adorable.
When we got to the island, we decided to let the cats out. They went, ate grasses, did a bunch of disgusting vomits on our rugs, but would not, would not go away. They would dart out the door, and come back in. We left the doors open all day, but they sleep in the house. Unreal. Part of one day, they hung out with us on the deck.
Last night, after all that mudding, we invited Paul and Nina to dinner. They came around 7, and we served apps down by the water and dinner up at the house deck. The whales swam by at 6, heading north. When Paul and Nina and their kids showed up, we apologized and said, "Let's all remember that the whales swim by at 6, not 7!"
Paul said, no worries, they'll be back. He's amazing, there's just something magic about that whole family. The whales did come back, and they stayed right off our property all evening, fishing and blowing.
Niki watches a pair go south.
Mars can't believe how close they are.
They jumped and spy-hopped and did everything except float on their backs.
