Late January 2004
Paisley and Peter came up on Friday, arriving AGAIN before we expected them. We were both upstairs cleaning when we heard Mr. Adorables on the stairs. Such a wonderful surprise! At least we were dressed this time! Ray and Rosanne came for dinner, we had butterflied leg of lamb, oven roasted, with roasted root vegetables. Yum.
Morgan got a bath in the sink and a Mohawk. His mother thinks he's very funny. Isn't he so so cute?
Paisley and Haley embrace in the kitchen while they are working on Morgan's bath and dinner. Peter worked on a box for the Albany Street pantry. He actually finished it!
Then Morgan got a haircut. Haley tried to distract him with her legless critter, which worked for a while. Paisley was able to get everything except some spots high up on his left side. She continued to try to get those spots every time Morgan got near her for the next few hours.
Ray and Rosanne played with their newest time lapse, while Hawk read Blueberries for Sal to Morgan before bed. Liam opened his breakfast cookbook from Paisley and Peter.
Ray and Rosanne came for dinner again, this time we had turkey, two of Suzy's heritage free-range turkeys. We brined them and then cooked them perfectly. They were excellent. Paisley made the gravy again perfectly.
Morgan stomped around in Hawk's shoes for awhile, proving once again that nobody deserves the name Mr. Adorables better. Peter checked out stuff on the internet.
The next day, Hawk got out the ice skates and we put Morgan in his new snowsuit and boots. It was bitter cold, but Morgan loved "flying" over the ice with the boys.
Rudy came on Saturday afternoon with Christian. He and Morgan were both sick, but they played together very well. And stretched out on the couch together. Aren't they cute?
Suzy and Paisley and Haley and Rudy had a little tea party with biscotti while they planned Nora's baby shower and Rudy's makeover at Salon Liv and Banana Republic.
