This is from the upstairs master bathroom, looking at the ocean through the madrone trees. We talked to the guy who has a mill, and he's going to mill up some of our downed madrones. If we can, we'll use the wood to make a bench in the entry way, the sides of the stairs, and maybe the tables that hold our sinks in the master bath.
And this is the view from our bedroom. We might be spending a little more time here than we usually spend in a bedroom. It's a huge room for us, big enough for furniture besides the bed.
The tide is high enough to cover the rocks half way up Pingree Rock.
Taine left us some cement troughs to divert the water from our driveway, a lot of water flows down the road straight toward our little guest house when it rains. Hawk used the pickaxe, he would not hold still.
He buried them in just the right place and put 2 by 6s over the grates on top so he could backfill around them.
Nice, huh? He did a great job, and now the entry into the guest house is a little better. Well, except we need to replace that nasty looking mat. Next summer...
