Even more new house pix

Hawk gets out the cannon to alert Gina and Graham that cocktail hour has started on their last night here.
The view of our cocktail area from the master bedroom. It's so beautiful!
The candle chandelier and sunset from the bedroom. We had El Dorado margaritas and oysters. Petites, they were out of belons.
Gina and Graham saw a whale poke his/her head up three times south of Pingree Rock. Nice goodbye gesture. The whale watchers look for more.
Taine and Victor work on the south side of the house. We love the shingle stripes. Taine suggested we paint the thin horizontal cedar board that's just above the shingles the color of the madrone bark, and we'll do that to the front door and the posts holding the entry roof up.
Taine's signature sunburst. He spent a couple of hours carefully laying it out on the ground first.
We moved one of Peter's tables into the dining room so we could see where it will sit, and then figure out how big the kitchen island can be.
It's big. It's 60 by 93.5 inches. We'll get a 30 inch thermador stove and we'll have room for the 22 inch trough sink and maybe we can put butcher block on top. Or maybe teak...
There's a north wind blowing today at about 15, so even though it's sunny and 50, it's cold. But we found a corner of our deck that's protected from the wind in full sun, where it's really warm. Just as we both found that warm spot, a sailboat came by, moving fast with the tide. The rip tide off Pingree Rock sounds like a rushing river. We have to leave tomorrow!
