We went to a pumpkin farm with the kids and Bill McIver. We were going to drive to Santa Cruz that week, but Sandra's father took a turn for the worse, and we decided to hang out in Seattle in case they needed some relief from the drama. Going to a pumpkin farm seemed like a really good idea.

Bill and Hawk. Edgar died shortly after, it was not a happy week, but we did get to have one really delicious lunch at Lola in Seattle with them.
And then there is Halloween. Carlene and Kelley really get into it. Carlene's costume reminds me of one Phyl made all four of us one year, black suits with colored polkadots and big ruffles. I loved that costume. The white shoe polish on my face, not so much.
I bought costumes for all the kids this year out of Chasing Fireflies. Fairy for Cora, Princess Leia for Charlie.
Morgan was a firefighter and Amelie was a crab.
