Here are Hawk, Morgan (looking kind of annoyed) and Cora next to the fairy tower, in place in the rocks. I bought fairies so when everyone came for Ryan and Jaime's weekend, all the kids had a fairy. Including the completely adorable Ainsley.

Cora found a great place to rest above Hawk's cove.

Charlie Mazur came from Chicago for a weekend to hang out with us, discover Seattle and do everyone's (Paisley, Haley, Carlene, Nicole, Hawk, Suzy, Peter and Rob)hair. Here are Suzy and Hawk, waiting to develop.

It took some persuading, but Rob finally agreed. He's really happy with the shimmery burnish that Charlie gave his beautiful hair.

Ryan and Jaime and Ainsley came to help us celebrate his return from Djibouti. Ryan went for a run, and then dove into the water off of Pingree Rock. No one has ever done that before. We were awestruck.

Right after Ryan and Jaime's visit, we took the Sidney ferry and drove up to Campbell River, where we met Kit and Carl on Teal.

We cruised for 5 days in Desolation Sound, the weather was unbelievable for the second half of September. Warm and sunny every day.

This warm, sunny harbor was our first stop, we got a great walk in and then we settled down to our gin and tonics. It was delicious.

Teal is so gorgeous. Everywhere we went, we'd drop anchor (perfectly) and immediately attract attention.

Kit and Carl drove us around in their new and beautiful boston whaler. It planes, but only when all four of us are not in it!

Here's the entrance to Prideaux Haven. A lot of "The Curve of Time" was set here. It is still breathtakingly beautiful, but you can't eat the shellfish in the harbor. We were almost alone, although we did get to meet Barbara and Harry Lee there. They came to Friday Harbor a week later and we fixed them dinner at our house.

Hawk enjoys his scotch on Teal's afterdeck.

Hawk and I drove off to set shrimp traps at Prideaux Haven, but the water was too deep (probably). We also had no luck with crab traps, except for those nasty starfish that filled the whole trap. YUK!!!

We had to come back for a doctor's appointment, it was hard to leave. Next year!!! We decided to take Sunshine out of the water while it's still good weather, here she is on her last sail. See? Beautiful sunny day. As soon as we left Mitchell bay, the wind came up on our nose and a dense fog descended. We had to use our compass and gps to find the County Park. As soon as we got the boat out of the water, the wind dropped and the sun came out. Every time we take the boat out, it's like this...
